Delete your LAYRD account

You can delete your LAYRD account and the data that goes with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1: In the app (immediate)

  1. Open LAYRD and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away. This cannot be undone.

Option 2: By email (if you can’t open the app)

If you’ve uninstalled LAYRD or can’t sign in, email hello@getlayrd.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my LAYRD account”. We’ll confirm the request is from you, delete the account within 30 days, and reply when it’s done.

If you signed in with Apple’s “Hide My Email”, write from your real address and tell us — we’ll find the account with you.

What gets deleted

All of this is deleted permanently, immediately when you delete in the app:

  • Your account, email address and sign-in details
  • Your profile and the preferences you gave during setup (including a phone number, if you gave one in an earlier version)
  • Every photo you uploaded, and the product-style images made from them
  • Your wardrobe items and everything attached to them — categories, tags, names, notes, prices
  • Your outfits, wear log, calendar plans and streak
  • Your notification tokens
  • The records of AI suggestions and your corrections to them

What is kept, and for how long

  • Usage analytics and session recordings are held by our analytics provider, PostHog, separately from your account. They are deleted automatically after one month. To have them deleted sooner, email us and we’ll remove them.
  • Information we are legally required to keep, if any, is kept only for as long as the law requires.

Nothing else is kept after your account is deleted.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual items from your wardrobe in the app at any time. To delete other data — such as your AI correction records, or your analytics data — without closing your account, email hello@getlayrd.app and tell us what you’d like removed.

If you signed in with Apple

Deleting your LAYRD account removes everything we hold. Your Apple ID may still list LAYRD under Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple — you can remove it there to stop sharing your Apple ID with LAYRD.
