Privacy policy
LAYRD — Wardrobe & Outfits (“LAYRD”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Anam Khan. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over it.
1. Information we collect
- Account: your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email they share with us (or an Apple relay address if you use Hide My Email).
- Waitlist: if you join the waitlist on our website, your name, email address, phone number and whether you use an iPhone or Android. This is collected on the website rather than in the app.
- Profile: optional setup answers, such as gender, goals and style preferences, and your phone number if you give it.
- Wardrobe content: photos of your items and their details (category, tags, name, colour, notes, and price paid, if entered), plus your outfits, wear log, calendar plans and logging streak.
- AI corrections: what the AI suggested for an item, whether you accepted, edited, regenerated or reverted it, and the photo it was based on.
- Usage and session recordings: the screens and features you use, and recordings of your screen inside the app, including garment photos and text you type. The system photo picker is masked.
- Device data: device type, operating system, app version, crash reports, and a push token if you allow notifications.
We do not collect your location, contacts or health data.
2. How we use it
We use your data to run the app’s features (storing your wardrobe, processing photos, suggesting and saving outfits, logging and planning wear), secure your account, improve the accuracy of LAYRD’s AI, fix problems, send notifications you have allowed, and meet legal obligations.
Waitlist details are used for one thing: telling you when LAYRD is available on your store. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell or share the details with anyone.
We rely on providing the service you signed up for, our legitimate interest in improving and securing the app, and your consent where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your content or account, or by emailing us.
3. AI processing
Your item photos are sent to Google’s Gemini API and to Fapihub to remove backgrounds, identify attributes such as category and colour, and generate product-style images. We do not use these tools to identify people.
We keep records of AI suggestions and your corrections, including the source photo, to improve LAYRD’s own models. We never sell or share them for others’ purposes. A record stays even if you delete the related item, and is deleted when you delete your account. You can ask us to delete these records or stop collecting them.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help run the app:

Waitlist details are held in Supabase only. None of the other providers above receive them.
These providers may process data outside India, including in the US and EU. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
5. Retention and deleting your account
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time.
To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your account, profile, photos, items, outfits, wear log, calendar plans, notification tokens and AI correction records. If you can’t access the app, email us from your account address and we will delete it within 30 days, or see how to delete your account.
Waitlist entries are kept until LAYRD has launched on your platform and we have told you, after which they are deleted — or sooner, if you ask us.
PostHog analytics and recordings are deleted automatically after one month, or sooner on request. Data we must keep by law is kept only as long as required.
6. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and, where it applies, the EU/UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, withdraw consent, object to processing (including use of your AI corrections), and raise a complaint with the relevant authority. Email us to exercise any of these and we will respond within the time the law requires.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls that limit each account to its own data, and restricted access to credentials. No system is completely secure.
8. Age requirement
You must be 18 or older to use LAYRD. If we learn we hold data from someone under 18, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update the date above when this policy changes, and notify you in the app about material changes.
